Dolly-Parton

Born on Jan. 19th, 1946 Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to overcome the challenges of her life by using her vivid and broad imagination. Prior to learning how to read or write, Dolly Parton was creating her own music. Her first guitar purchase came at age 8 and started performing on a Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. The same year, she released her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small label. While still in highschool she established herself locally but dreamed about a larger stage. She relocated to Nashville following her graduation in 1964. Her first charting hits on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for his syndicated television show. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after contracting with RCA Records. She left Wagoner's show, however, in 1974 due to her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. Parton following the breakup of their relationship with Wagoner she wrote the song"I Will Never Love You and made it to Number. The song of Parton in 1974."I Will Always Love You" peaked at No.
