Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture and became the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer all of the world. Swift is shedding her roots in the country as if they were second skins revealing herself to be one of the best pop singers and songwriters of her time. Swift is able to take the zeitgeist of today and turn it into her unique. The first songs she released, such as the neotribute in tribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talent. The second album Fearless from 2008 showed the songwriter finding her voice and a wider public. Fearless had a great success not only in America, but also with six platinum-certified singles. The Top Ten songs Love Story & I Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. But, it also did well all over the world. Swift's next album, Speak Now, released almost two years after the previous one, built on this momentum. It propelled Swift to superstardom. With her subsequent three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017), her popularity increased and she found herself in a world of pop music where it was clear that she deserved to be. Although she slowed down her approach with 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she remained atop the charts, a place she maintained with re-recordings of her back catalog along with Midnights her chart-topping synth-heavy 2022 set.
